The short version
Newstalgist is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
When you click a product link on this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a percentage of that sale. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. Nothing is added to your total.
Which links are affiliate links
Every button and product link that sends you to Amazon is an affiliate link. They are marked in the page code as sponsored links. Links to news articles, manufacturer sites and reference material are not affiliate links and earn us nothing.
Whether it changes what we recommend
Commission rates differ by product category, so in theory some items pay more than others. We do not order or select the catalog by commission rate. Items appear because they meet the criteria on the about page, and they get removed when they go out of production.
No manufacturer, brand or seller pays to be listed here. We do not accept payment for placement, and we do not run sponsored posts.
About prices and availability
We do not publish prices on this site. Prices and availability on Amazon change frequently, and the price shown on the Amazon product page at the time of purchase is the one that applies. Any price or availability information you see on Amazon at the moment of your visit is what governs the sale.
Other affiliate programs
Where a product is not sold on Amazon, we may link to another retailer through a different affiliate program. Those links work the same way and are disclosed the same way.
