Who we are
Newstalgist, reachable at hello@newstalgist.com and at Newstalgist, Huntington Beach, CA 92648. This policy covers https://www.newstalgist.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type. We use it to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list from that form.
Information collected automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. Logs are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
When you click a link to Amazon from this site, Amazon may set a cookie in your browser that records that you arrived from us. That cookie is how Amazon credits a purchase to our account. It is set by Amazon, not by us, and we cannot read it.
The cookie does not tell us who you are. We receive aggregate reports showing that a sale occurred, not the identity of the buyer.
Amazon's own privacy notice governs what they collect once you land on their site. You can read it at amazon.com/privacy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop you from using this site.
Analytics
If analytics software is running on this site, it is listed here along with a link to its privacy policy. Add or remove entries as your setup changes.
- None currently in use.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run behavioural advertising networks on this site.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
How long we keep things
Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the conversation and are then deleted. Server logs rotate on a short schedule set by the host.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how it is used. Email hello@newstalgist.com and we will respond within the time your local law allows.
California residents may also request that we disclose the categories of personal information collected. We do not sell personal information as that term is defined under California law.
Links to other sites
This site links to Amazon and to other third parties. Once you follow a link, their privacy practices apply, not ours.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
